That was the case with Project HOME, a student-led initiative rooted in service, remembrance, and honoring veterans through handcrafted American flags. When the team prepared for one of its most meaningful deliveries yet, a custom packaging solution helped turn that presentation into a memorable unboxing moment for everyone involved. **A Project Built on Purpose** **![Flags](https://blog.fantastapack.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Flags.jpg?width=2048&height=973&name=Flags.jpg)** Project HOME, short for Honoring Our Military vetErans, began four years ago at Van Horn High School as a student-led effort to recognize veterans through handcrafted rustic wooden American flags.  As Jim Oatman shared, “There’s a reason we’ve been building and donating flags to our veterans for the last four year’s....their service, their sacrifice mattered....What started with 32 students constructing 50 flags annually has grown into a network of 1,783 students crossing 7 state lines.” This spring, the group prepared for one of its most meaningful deliveries yet: traveling to Clarksville, Georgia to present a handcrafted flag to Kenneth Schubring Sr., a 103-year-old Pearl Harbor survivor. For the students and teachers involved, this was more than a delivery. It was a moment years in the making, and one where every detail of the presentation mattered. Oatman explained, “Our philosophy is simple, by honoring one.... we honor them all....” With a mission this personal, the packaging had to do more than protect the flag. It helped transform the gift into an experience, one that felt respectful, thoughtful, and worthy of the recipient. That is the value of custom packaging in unique projects and events.
